The next challenger to NXT Champion Adam Cole will be Finn Balor.
During Wednesday’s episode of NXT on the USA Network, WWE held a match that would determine who is next line for a title shot.
A Triple Threat Match between Finn Balor, Keith Lee, and Tommaso Ciampa took place with the winner becoming the next challenger to Cole’s title. Balor was victorious, earning the right to challenge Adam Cole next week.
WWE holds next week’s episode of NXT in Winter Park, Florida at Full Sail University and it’s looking like a stacked card. Not only will Cole defend the title but also NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler will defend her championship against Rhea Ripley.
Outside of those two matches, this will be an important episode of NXT as it will serve as the final show of 2019 due to WWE taking the night off on December 25th for Christmas.
