On the latest episode of The Hall of Fame, Booker T forcefully rejected the notion that he hates AEW, pointing out that his own students from Reality of Wrestling are employed there.
“Why would somebody make a statement like that and say I hate AEW? That is the most ludicrous thing I ever heard in my life. I’ve got students who come from Reality of Wrestling who are working in that company. When somebody can put a roof over their head, pay their bills, and take care of their kids — you think I’m going to hate on that? Are you serious? People need to get a grip on themselves. Me personally, I lose no sleep thinking about hating on anybody at this day and age, at the age I’m at right now. So big ups to AEW. Do I think things could be done differently sometimes? Do I comment on things sometimes? Yes. But do I hate AEW and wish them to not exist? No. That’s not what I’m here for.”
“I’m trying to figure out what I’ve said so bad about AEW that someone would think I hate them. Name one thing — the person who made that comment, name one thing I’ve said to make you think I hate AEW. Just one.”
