Rey Fenix Injury Update, Estimated Time Out of Action

Rey Fenix took a nasty bump through a table at the hands of Luchasaurus on Wednesday’s edition of AEW Dynamite. As Fenix landed on the outside, his arm bent back the wrong way. The injury appeared to be quite serious.

Fenix never did return to the match. Jungle Boy pinned Penta El Zero Miedo to win the AEW World Tag Team Championships.

Thankfully, it seems that things could have been much worse. Bryan Alvarez from F4WOnline posted an update on Fenix’s condition on Thursday afternoon. As it turns out, Fenix did not break his arm, but it was badly dislocated.

Tony Khan also wished Fenix a speedy recovery.

Republic of Lucha, retail store owned by the Lucha Bros in South Pasadena, CA, provided another update on the situation.

Rey Fenix is said to be recovering from the dislocated elbow. Thankfully, the injury will only keep him out of action for a few weeks.

The Lucha Bros were the 5th team in AEW history to win the tag team titles. SCU, Hangman Page & Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and FTR all held the belts before them. They held the titles for 122 days and successfully defended the championships on 4 occasions during their reign.
