Kurt Angle Signs 5-Year Deal With WWE, Explains His New Role

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle addressed his future WWE during a recent interview with WrestlingInc. Just as he has stated before, he’ll be sticking around the company but not in an in-ring role. Instead, he’ll be working behind the scenes.

In this interview, Angle revealed that he recently signed a 5-year deal with WWE that will see him do part-time work in front of the camera, possibly as a manager. He will also be working behind the scenes as a producer.

“I’m going to help the wrestlers with their technique,” the WWE Hall of Famer explained. “I’m going to help them structure their matches. It’s something I’m very good at and I thought I’d be able to contribute to the company.”

This comes after Angle lost his farewell match and ended his run as an active in-ring performer to Baron Corbin at the WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view event in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium.

Before WrestleMania 35 while doing a recent interview with Sky Sports, Angle revealed that he went to Vince McMahon a few months ago to tell him that he wanted to retire this year because of how his body has been feeling.
