Daily Drop 6/4: Dominik Mysterio Has Some Explaining To Do, AEW Represented At House of the Dragon Season 2 Premiere

It’s time for the Daily Drop on June 4, 2024. Last night’s WWE RAW included some major talking points, so let’s get into things.

Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio continue their ongoing romantic storyline. This is a very interesting situation, as Dom is resisting her advances, while Morgan has not let up on pursuing the former NXT North American Champion.

After WWE RAW last night, Morgan posted to reference Katy Perry’s breakout single, where she admitted that she kissed Dominik, and she liked it.

Now, let’s get into the Daily Drop!

AEW:

AEW Removals: In recent weeks, several AEW talents, including WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry, Arn Anderson, and Jake Hager, have left the company. Fans were not surprised by their departures. The AEW roster page no longer lists Mark Henry, Arn Anderson, and Jake Hager. Additionally, Paige VanZant, who left AEW earlier this year, has also been removed from the page.

The Machine’s AEW Status: Brian Cage discussed his AEW contract on the Lightweights podcast, explaining that in April 2023, it was reported he had re-signed with AEW on a five-year deal with an optional sixth year. Cage confirmed his commitment to AEW, expressing that he is content with his situation and sees no reason to go elsewhere given the length of his contract and his tenure with the company.

Gothic Medieval Fantasy: AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland was spotted alongside Prince Nana and Willow Nightingale at the Season 2 premiere of ‘House of The Dragon.’ Willow Nightingale posted her dress on social media with the caption “Gothic medieval fantasy realness.”

WWE2K24’s WrestleMania 40 Arena: 2K dropped their first look of the WrestleMania XL set, which will be available on June 5. Lincoln Financial Field looks pretty good in video game form.

Dominik Gets Defensive: Although Dominik Mysterio’s romance angle with Liv Morgan is only getting started, she is still quick to defend Mami. An interview in Spanish has gone viral, showing Dirty Dom getting upset when the interviewer called Rhea Ripley hot. He did not appreciate the disrespect, which caused him to snap and throw water on the host before walking off.

The Truth Behind WWE: Former Superstar Maven, who has seen his YouTube presence build tremendously over the past year or so, sat down for a new interview with Insider, where he dished on several secrets of the pro wrestling business.

Uce Wants The Briefcase: Jey Uso has set his sights on winning gold in 2024, despite coming up short so far. On the June 3 episode of WWE Raw, Jey Uso entered through the crowd, thanked the fans for supporting him, and reflected on his past year, including his departure from The Bloodline. He emphasized his determination to fight on his own and announced his plan to climb the ladder and retrieve the Money in the Bank briefcase in 2024. It’s very plausible to picture him winning the MITB match this year.
