Daily Drop (5/15): WWE Locks In Mania 41, Saraya On MTV Catfish

Welcome to the Daily Drop for May 15, 2024. We have a lot to get into, so let’s not waste any more time.

Before we get going, WWE has officially locked in a giant payment for WrestleMania 41. Las Vegas will host the two-night WrestleMania event on April 19 and 20, making it the latest date for a WrestleMania in the calendar year. Originally assumed to be held in Minneapolis, Las Vegas secured the right to host WrestleMania 41. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority approved a $5 million payment to WWE to sponsor the event.

AEW Figure Hunting: Anthony Bowens found one of his AEW action figures in the wild, and he signed it. He then posted a video, where he announced that the hunt is on to find his signed figure. Let’s hope someone buys it who realizes that it’s a signature, and an employee doesn’t put it in the “damaged bin” for a return to the manufacturer, since it was technically defaced while on the shelves.

WWE

Rowan Spotted At PC: Erick Rowan was seen at WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, but his activities there are unclear. In May 2024, Rowan reportedly re-signed with WWE, leading to the cancellation of his independent show appearances due to contractual issues. WWE has not confirmed plans for Rowan, but it is widely speculated that he will join the rumored Uncle Howdy-led faction.
