Kofi Kingston Chooses His Opponent At WWE SummerSlam

A new match has been announced for the upcoming WWE SummerSlam PPV as WWE Champion Kofi Kingston has chosen his opponent. 

During Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live, Kingston issued a challenge for SummerSlam but noted that he would like to choose his opponent. He would then call out Randy Orton, who proceeded to come out.

Kingston brought up their history back in 2009 with Kingston famously hitting the boom drop from the stands through a table on Orton at MSG. Orton stated that he could take the title whenever he wants as he doesn’t think Kofi should be WWE Champion. 

WWE presents the SummerSlam pay-per-view event on Sunday, August 11, 2019 in Toronto, Ontario at the Scotiabank Arena that will air on the WWE Network. WWE will be announcing more matches for this show in the coming weeks. Here is the updated card:
