Rapper Sexyy Red showed up on NXT this week, and it was revealed that she will host NXT’s Battleground.
The May 28 edition of WWE NXT began with a major announcement from General Manager Ava, who praised the show’s women’s division and introduced Sexyy Red as the special guest for the evening.
Upon entering the ring, Ava revealed that Sexyy Red had an important announcement regarding NXT’s upcoming special event, Battleground, scheduled to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on June 9, 2024.
WWE has a history of incorporating outside celebrities into various roles, adding excitement and mainstream appeal to its events. Sexyy Red’s viral capabilities were noticed by Shawn Michaels, who extended an invitation for her to participate in the brand after she posted about Noam Dar attacking Trick Williams.

In addition to Sexyy Red’s appearance, WWE also unveiled the new NXT Women’s North American Title. Seizing the moment, Sexyy Red posed with the title, further engaging the audience.
