WWE Network Free Tier Content Now Available

Part of the WWE Network tier system is here.

WWE has updated its streaming service, WWE Network, that saw the quiet launch of the free content tier.

A tier price plan has been something that WWE has talked about for years and now the first vase of that has been introduced.

Now, fans who don’t have a subscription to the WWE Network have the ability to watch certain videos on the service. Most of the videos can also be found for free on WWE’s YouTube channel.

This comes after a report by PWinsider.com about the free tier system being introduced and how videos will change over time.

Right now, WWE Top 10, WWE Network Pick of the Week and various full matches are available for free. For subscribers who are interested in seeing what the free tier system looks like, just simply sign out of your account.

WWE Co-President Shares Plans For WWE Network Tiered Content System

WWE Co-President George Barrios spoke to The Verge about its streaming service in September where he broke down what the price tiers would look like:

Free: This will offer the same free-to-watch videos you’d normally find on WWE.com. Barrios said WWE might also offer timed previews of paid WWE Network content.

Regular: The standard WWE Network experience, combining free content with subscription benefits like live pay-per-views, on-demand streaming, and original programming.

Premium: “We think there’s also an opportunity to super-serve our most passionate Network subscribers with a premium tier that’ll bring together more content for them, more features for them, and also integrating some of our other non-video services like our commerce — potentially integrating something like free shipping, bringing together our digital ticketing efforts in there. It becomes the one place to experience everything WWE,” Barrios said.
